WARETOWN, NJ - Truth be told, Ocean Township Board of Education meetings are generally poorly attended. In many cases, it's not because of a lack of interest. The thought of venturing back out after a hard day's work sounds difficult. For parents, there's also the issue of overseeing homework and getting dinner on the table. However, in an age where many are non-essential employees and staying home, the options have changed. Everyone is invited to partake in tonight's meeting from the comfort of their homes.

According to the school district's website, the meeting will be conducted using Zoom Technology, starting as usual at 6:15 pm. Those unfamiliar with Zoom should hit the computer or their smartphone early.  The meeting agenda is posted here.

In order to join the meeting, it's as simple as clicking this link.  The Meeting ID is 978 876 582 and the password is 654321.

Virtual attendance at meeting may be the latest fad. However, it's a great means of learning what goes on in local government. It also gives parents and all taxpayers the opportunity to ask questions and get answers.
