To the Editor:

Yet another attack mailer against David Richter just came to my mailbox. Just like the others before it, the flier does not propose any reason to vote for the weak and extremely position-light candidate opposing him in the July 7th primary election who was a one term Burlington County freeholder, ousted by voters in favor of an accused wife abuser and woman stalker who suspended his campaign when the accusations became public!

This negative campaign mailer whines about David Richter doing business in China. It goes back to when he was leading Hill International, a New Jersey based construction management company because Hill did business in China. I say good for him and good for an American Company to go to China to make money; and, as President Trump might very well say, "Good for America!"

It's about time American companies made some money in China instead of the other way around. In fact, whoever this “Stronger Foundations, Inc.” is, from a post office box in Rahway, they should have thought better of putting out an attack mailer like this because those who support President Trump's agendas of capitalism and putting America first believe that a level playing field with other countries, particularly China, is much needed and long overdue. The fact that some Rahway post office box based "Stronger Foundations, Inc." has a problem with this speaks volumes. Wonder where this "Stronger Foundations, Inc." and  other "foundations" and whatnot that always pop up during elections get their money from? Stronger Foundations, Inc. is a labor-connected group that has pumped significant money into Hoboken, Jersey City and other elections - receiving at least $150,609 from Engineers Labor-Employer Cooperative 825. Isn't that who David Richter's opponent is employed by?

Those who “get it” realize that an American company owned by American shareholders making money in China and bringing those profits back home to America is a good thing. Kudos to Hill International and David Richter.

Money has propped up a very weak candidate who would have to take a giant step to the right to even be only an R.I.N.O. (Republican In Name Only) but money cannot buy conservative values. Money cannot buy a moral compass. Money does not make a weak candidate capable of beating radical progressive Andy Kim in November.

Ocean County deserves a strong, experienced conservative as a representative in Washington - that is why I ran for Congress and why I am now supporting David Richter for Congress.
