BARNEGAT, NJ -  Earlier this week, the story below made headlines among Barnegat locals. At that time, TAPintoBarnegat/Waretown requested photos of students and continues to add to the collage of this year's graduates. The commitment remains as pictures are added by the dozens. In the meantime, our publication would love for the Class of 2020 to share some thoughts for a future article.  Please contact Editor Stephanie Faughnan at sfaughnan@tapinto.net.  Right now, all but the last three photos in our cue are posted. We are posting by the dozens.

It may be one of the best kept secrets in the Barnegat school district. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Latwis, Board of Education President Michael Hickey and a host of other administrators led the pack of masked Bengal bandits. Parents of the Class of 2020 also lent a hand in bringing some magic to their very own Bengal cubs..

It was the right kind of drive-by with official sanctions. A host of cars stopped by the homes of each of Barnegat's senior class. Their lawns were adorned with signs and tee-shirts applauding their success as soon to be high school graduates.

A note reminding them Class of 2020 that they are will always be, Bengal Strong accompanied each of the special mementos. "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass," it reminded. "It is about learning to the dance in the rain."

TAPintoBarnegat/Waretown hopes these messages brought smiles to the Class of 2020 and all near them.  Please throw on your shirts and stand before your signs. We'd like the whole township to celebrate your graduation.  Let's show the 2020 Bengals pack together!
