A special participant was Mike McGurkin. Mike is 77 years old and lives on LBI. He celebrated his birthday by challenging himself to complete the Bridge Walk. He was joined in the walk by a crowd of family members, some who flew from different parts of the country nation to cheer him on to success on his special day.

Overall, it was a successful event, the original walk was organized ten years ago by C.G. Ruff and Melanie Magaziner.

The flyer below provides additional information about Sunday's walk.
