SHIP BOTTOM, NJ - The students from the Long Beach Island Grade School in Ship Bottom created sweet Valentine's Day cards for the Seniors in our community.

Home Instead Senior Care of Waretown, NJ were given some Valentine’s Day cards today from the children at the LBI School that will be delivered to seniors in the community to let them know that someone is thinking about them.

"Many senior citizens in our area are without family and friends and can get very lonely," said Tara Bonelli, Director of Community Relations for Home Instead Senior Care. "Something as simple as a card can go a long way and put a smile on their face."

Besides Valentine's Day approaching on Friday, the National Random Acts of Kindness Day will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Bonelli of Home Instead Senior Care encourages those in our community to get out and share a random act of kindness with someone.

Whether it be giving away your parking spot, or writing a note or card for a senior, giving a gift card, donating to a shelter, whatever it may be, sharing kindness can have a beautiful ripple effect.

Home Instead always takes cards to be distributed to the seniors and during different holidays throughout the year they run other initiatives.
