WARETOWN, NJ - Just about everyone knows that Santa Claus makes his runs through town every year. It turns out the Easter Bunny wants in on the game. With malls closed, children of all ages missed out on personal visits with the celebrity rabbit. And once again, Ocean Township first responders have come to the rescue.

The Waretown First Aid Squad, Waretown First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary, Township of Ocean, Ocean Township Police Department and Waretown Fire Company have joined forces to bring the Easter Bunny throughout town. He's getting the whole VIP treatment, including lots of sirens from ambulances, police cars and fire trucks.

Plans are for the furry favorite to hit every street within Ocean Township tomorrow, starting  at 10 am. From all accounts, the Easter Bunny is especially happy he'll get to wave to friends from his firetruck perch. No doubt the sirens will let everyone know when he is near. However, it's possible to find more details by looking at the Ocean Township's Police Depatment's Facebook page.

In the meantime, the Easter Bunny shared a simple request with the TAPintoBarnegat/Waretown editorial staff. "To make this event successful and to adhere to CDC recommended guidelines, it is extremely important that you and your family remain on your property, warned the Easter Bunny. "Please do not congregate in groups with your neighbors. Unfortunately if we see people grouping together on street corners or neighbors properties we will stop the caravan from proceeding."
