BARNEGAT, NJ -  The Adopt-A-Street participants were out in full force today. They created groups and helped remove several pounds of trash that made for unpleasant eyesores. Additionally, the cleanup removes the threat of debris infiltration into the Barnegat Bay.

Volunteers as young as four years old participated in the first clean up of the year. Adults and a couple of canines also did their part to make Barnegat's part of the planet free of unnecessary waste.

A total of ten streets received individual attention. Additionally, workers cleared litter and garbage from two parks, the Barnegat Beach and the Barnegat Docks.

Adopt-A-Street leaders plan to partner with Save Barnegat Bay. All are invited to join in the excitement at the Dunfee School in Barnegat on April 18th from 11am- 2pm.
