"To Our Customers:

We were notified today that someone who entered our store has tested positive for Covid 19.  We have closed our doors temporarily, and are taking the appropriate course of action. We have consulted with the Long Beach Island Health Department, local doctors offices, and others who have experienced this unfortunate situation before us.

Our goal has been and always will be to serve the community as safely and faithfully as possible. We will provide updates as we ascertain more information.

We appreciate the immense amount of support that we have already begun to see. "

Chicken or the Egg

The Chicken or the Egg restaurant had an employee who tested positive for Covid-19 last week.  Owner Mark Cohen shared that they are hoping to have the restaurant open by Thursday or Friday.  The challenge is that it takes a number of days for the tests to come back to clear the workers.

Cohen reflected and said this early situation for these businesses may be helpful for others that operate businesses throughout the Island this summer.  Hopefully this is a very temporary new normal, and we will see the complete obliteration of this virus.
