BARNEGAT, NJ - The humidity may be high, but there’s no rain in sight for today’s “Day on the Bay.” For many with special needs, today will be the first time they’ll feel salty water splash on their faces.
Local captains look forward the annual event, which focuses on providing boat rides for children and adults with special needs. The fun times start at 11am and last until 2pm at Sherer’s Boat Basin, 482 East Bay Avenue in Barnegat.
Participants must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent to sign waivers. Barnegat Police will also be on hand to help with the creation of special identification cards.
More information about the event is available here. TapintoBarnegat/Waretown will be on site to provide first hand coverage of the Day on the Bay.
