FOXBOROUGH, MA — Southern Regional and Penn State graduate Mike Gesicki made a huge game winning touchdown pass as the Dolphins defeated New England 27-24.

Gesicki caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick with 24 seconds remaining in the game. Miami went ahead 27-24 following an extra point from kicker Jason Sanders.

The Dolphins did not trail in the game until there was 3:53 left. Tom Brady found James White on a 13-yard touchdown catch to go ahead 24-20. Fitzpatrick then led the Dolphins on a 13-play, 75-yard drive to tie it on the touchdown strike to Gesicki.

Gesicki, a second-round pick by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL Draft, finishes his second professional season with five touchdown catches. The former Nittany Lions standout did not catch a single touchdown during his rookie season, although he played in all 16 games. Miami (5-11) ended their season on a two-game winning streak
