BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Temporary disruptions of road access and the need to find alternate parking will take place on township roadways this week while the municipal road improvement program continues into November. Weather permitting, paving operations will take place on Van Dorn Road between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, when on-street parking will be prohibited, the township announced.

A tar-like coating will be applied to Van Dorn Road before paving, and this can damage vehicles driving on the substance, the township said.. Residents should make alternate parking arrangements if vehicle access is needed during hours of paving.

Also weather permitting, construction will continue on Monday on Brentwood Court. Crews will be begin concrete sidewalk and granite block curb repairs, according to the township. Driveway access will be restricted for residents of Nos. 1, 4, 15, 24, and 28 Brentwood Court, the township said. Driveway access will be restricted for two to three days, weather dependent, the township said.

Construction restoration will continue on Goltra Drive, the township said, with driveway reconstruction to take place at nos. 54, 60, 66, 90 and 96 Goltra Drive. Residents should make alternate parking arrangements on a different section of Goltra Drive, the township said.

Motorists are advised by the township to follow all posted signs and detours and to use caution while driving through the construction work areas.
