Basking Ridge, N.J. (June 20, 2016) – For two consecutive years, Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation and New Jersey Community Capital have teamed up to host the Chasing the American Dream 5k and Kids’ Sprints to raise funds for a variety of local charities. Sponsored by E.A. Boniakowski and the Hugs for Brady Foundation, the third annual race will be held on July 28 at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, N.J.

New this year, participants and donors will be able to direct their support to one of 14 charities that help families realize their “American Dream” by sheltering the homeless; feeding the hungry; honoring our military veterans; caring for kids with cancer; providing safe, low-cost recreation opportunities; educating young people; training the disabled for independence; and supporting families in crisis.

Sanctioned by the USA Track and Field organization (USATF), runners can create their own teams or run as individuals, and solicit family and friends to donate to the cause of their choice. In addition to the race, participants will enjoy a day of music, games, food and drink.
