Appointments Will Continue at Year's Second Bernards Twp. Committee Meeting

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - About a week after a new mayor and deputy mayor were appointed in Bernards Township, the Township Committee is due to continue making additional appointments on Tuesday night, the second meeting of 2016.

New personnel and appointments to the Golf Advisory committee are among the appointments listed on the agenda for Tuesday night, Jan. 12. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. at the municipal building at 1 Collyer Lane.

Numerous other appointments were made at the Jan. 4 reorganization meeting.

Tuesday's agenda also includes a resolution authorizing the township to donate gasoline and/or diesel fuel to the Basking Ridge Fire Co. No. 1 and First Aid Squad, the Liberty Corner Fire Company and the Liberty Corner First Aid Squad,

Appointments are made to the all-volunteer fire companies and first aid squads throughout the year.

Bedminster Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Struck by Car at Bridgewater Mall Parking Lot

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall on Monday.

Marion Kelley, 62, was struck by a vehicle while walking in Lot 4 near the Macy's merchandise pick up area at around 3:20 p.m. Monday.

The 2017 Mazda was driven by Chinmayi Parikh, 33, of Piscataway.
