Auditions April 30 and May 3 for Trilogy Repertory's 'Plays In the Park' in Summer in Basking Ridge

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Auditions for Trilogy Repertory’s two summer productions for Bernards Township’s Plays in the Park series will be held this Sunday, April 30, and next Wednesday May 3, at the Bernards Township Community Center, 289 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge.

Auditions dates and times for the season's first production, a musical whose title will not be publicized until May 1, will be held on both evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., with dance auditions starting promptly at 7:10 p.m. All performances will be held at the outdoor amphitheater off Valley Road at Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge.

The summer’s second scheduled production is William Shakespeare’s comedy “Twelfth Night,” which will be directed by Paul Bettys, according to Basking Ridge-based Trilogy. Audition dates and times for this play will be also held from 7 to 9 p.m. on April 30, and May 3, with callbacks, if necessary, at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5. All readings will be from the script.

Large ensemble needed for musical

The casting needs for the musical will include men and women, ages 15 and over, for a variety of roles and for a large ensemble. Those trying out should come prepared to sing 16 bars of uptempo rock, pop, or musical theater. Trilogy is also looking for five soul singer/dancers. Scheduled performance dates for the musical are July 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22 at 8 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley Park outdoor amphitheater in Basking Ridge.

Trilogy's Jaye Barre will direct, with musical direction by Joe Lesky and choreography by Mariella Klinger. Lorrie Lane will serve as Executive Producer. Those auditioning for "Twelfth Night" also may prepare a monologue. Production dates will be July 28, 29, and August 3, 4, and 5 at 8 pm, at the Pleasant Valley outdoor amphitheater.
