Baseball: Ridge Gets Past Phillipsburg, 4-3, in Eight Innings

BASKING RIDGE, NJ - Undefeated Ridge scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to win yet another one-run baseball game, 4-3, over Phillipsburg on Friday.

The Red Devils (6-0) trailed, 3-1 after three-and-a-half innings but scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and eighth innings to win their third one-run game in six outings this season.

Andrew Lusardi and Cooper Bobowicz each had RBI singles for Ridge, which was held to five hits--all singles--in the game. Bobowicz pitched the first five innings, allowing four hits, three runs (two earned) and two walks and striking out five. Jack Love picked up the victory with three scoreless relief innings. He gave up two hits and two walks and fanned two.
