Bernards Board of Ed to Meet Monday: Technology and Mental Health Issues on Agenda

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Updates from school officials on the school district's Technology Steering Committee, and also trends in mental health from the past school year are on the Bernards Board of Education's agenda for this Monday, Jan. 23.

The public portion of meeting, for which the agenda is posted online, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the William Annin Middle School, 70 Quincy Road, Basking Ridge.

Presentations before the board on Monday's agenda include a Technology Steering Committee Update from Tom Misiak, Supervisor of Science and Technology, and Chris Barone, Director of Information Technology; and Trends in Mental Health 2015-16, as presented by Jillian Shadis, Supervisor of Guidance.

The superintendent's report includes a request for board approval for two student trips, including the annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. that each year has been attended by the majority of the school's eighth graders. Requested board approval of overnight trips for the Ridge High School forensic team is also on the agenda.
