Basking Ridge, NJ - The Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee (BTRMC) will screen prospective candidates interested in carrying the committee's endorsement to run for two (2) seats on the Bernards Township Committee.  Two, three-year terms currently held by Mayor Jim Baldassare and Committeeman John Carpenter will expire at the end of the year.

“Bernards Township has a long tradition of electing fiscally conservative Republicans to Township Committee,” said Chairman Bianchi. “And as a result, everyone benefits.  We welcome all registered Bernards Republicans to screen with us who desire to serve the community in this way.   All interested registered Republicans living in town are welcome to attend.”

The screening for the committee’s endorsement will be held at the Basking Ridge Firehouse, 30 Washington Ave., Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020. Candidates for other offices who will screen are expected to attend the meeting and make a statement.
