BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ - Nine instructional aides were appointed by the Bernards Township Board of Education at its meeting Monday, Sept. 17.
Hired to help teachers in the classroom were:
-- Nazan Bulca and Alpha Hamann at Liberty Corner School;
-- Michele Ivarone and Mary Walker at Ridge High School;
-- Jennifer Giramma, Roma Martin and Deborah Panayote at Mount Prospect School, and
-- Sherrie Shumate and Barbarann Wacha at Cedar Hill School.
The salaries will range from $21.50 to 26.86 per hour, and their days will be between four and 7.5 hours.
Hired as a school aide for three hours a day at $18.50 per hour was Lori Kendis at Oak Street School.
The board also accepted the resignations of Lindsay Capone, an English language arts teacher at William Annin Middle School, and Karen Rue, secretary in the special services area at Oak Street Elementary School, both for this school year.
The board appointed Kimberly Elber to teach Grade 3 at Oak Street School from Nov. 26 to the end of the school year, and Christina Miller from Sept. 1 through Jan. 31 as a 4/5 time science teacher at the middle school. Both are maternity leave replacements.
