Boys Basketball: Ridge Rolls Past Elizabeth, 76-45

BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Ridge boys basketball team made a statement with a big victory over a previously undefeated opponent.

Ridge broke to a 16-point lead by halftime and went on to a 76-45 victory over Elizabeth Thursday night on the second round of the Len Sepanak Tournament.

Chris Feringa scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds for Ridge (3-2), which outscored the Minutemen, 20-9, in the second quarter to open a 38-22 lead. Jeremy McCavera had 18 points and four steals in the victory.

The Red Devils also got 13 points and 10 rebounds from Roger Faustin and 10 points and five rebounds from Jacob Herrera.

Ridge, which beat Morristown Wednesday night, will played its third and final game in the home holiday showcase Saturday night against Westfield. Elizabeth is 4-1.
