BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Ridge boys volleyball team captured the NJSIAA Section 2 championship on Friday with a three-set victory over Harrison.

Ridge (18-9) rallied from a first-set loss by a score of 25-22, bouncing back to take the next two sets, 25-22, 25-21.

Matt Page finished with a team-leading 34 assists and 15 digs for the Red Devils, who also got 15 digs from Simon Moeller. Robert Long led Ridge with 17 kills and also had 11 digs. Austin Zhao totaled 10 kills and 10 digs and paced Ridge with four aces.

Other Red Devils who had a hand in the triumph included Austin Gao (four digs, two blocks), Janahan Ramakrishnan (five kills, three blocks, three digs) and Justin Yuan (eight digs, two kills).

Ridge will meet on Fair Lawn, the Section 1 winner, Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at South Brunswick High in the state semifinals.
