Brackets Announced for Somerset County Boys' and Girls' Basketball Tournaments


SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ - Seedings for the Somerset County boys' and girls' basketball tournaments, which begin with preliminary round games on Saturday, were released Wednesday night.

In the boys' tournament, Ridge High School has been seeded ninth and Bernards High seeded 10th. Ridge will host 16th-seeded Somerset Tech in the opening round on Saturday while Bernards hosts 15th-seeded Manville the same day. The top seed is Gill-St. Bernard's, which has a bye. Times of the games are pending.

In the girls' tournament, Bernards has been seeded ninth and will play host to 16th-seeded Manville in the opening round of the tournament on Saturday. Ridge was tabbed with the 10th seed and has a home date Saturday against 15th-seeded North Plainfield. The top seed is Rutgers Prep, which received a bye into the third round.
