Bridgewater-Raritan Outscores Ridge, 42-27, in Football

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Bridgewater-Raritan football team remained undefeated with a 42-27 victory over Ridge Friday night.

Dave Usewick rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries and Eric Nickel completed six of 14 passes for 181 yards and a TD for Bridgewater (9-0).

Senior halfback Kermit Hoffman compiled 166 yards of total offense for Ridge (5-4), catching four passes from QB Duncan Roberts for 127 yards and two TDs and rushing for 39 yards and a TD on eight carries. Ben Rengulbai rushed for 180 yards and a TD on 27 carries for the Red Devils.

Roberts completed 10 of 19 passes for 177 yards and two TDs. The senior quarterback now had 17 touchdown passes on the season.

The teams will await official word of their seedings for the NJSIAA playoffs that begin next weekend.
