BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ July is always "parks month" in Bernards Township, with the free Tuesday night concerts at Pleasant Valley Park, but this past July 17, the planned performance of "Refugee, Tom Petty Tribute" was a washout due to a rainstorm.

The performance has again been scheduled for this Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Park, located off Valley Road.

Just like in July, music lovers are invited to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the concert.

While it might be nice to bring back all of July's free parks events, residents have a chance this week to celebrate summer while it still lasts.

After this rainy weekend, the National Weather Service is predicting that Tuesday evening will be "mostly cloudy" in Basking Ridge.
