RAAD, which is made up of Ridge High School students strive to provide the message of smart and healthy choices, opposite of drug and alcohol use, by raising awareness of natural highs, through alternative activities; Informing their peers of the devastating effects of drug and alcohol use, and by being the example of how to live a drug and alcohol free life.

RAAD has made progress in the fight against substance abuse through fundraising events like Eat for Change, car-washes, and involving local business, who proudly displayed stickers stating "its 21 for reason," in support of the organization and RAAD's philosophy that drinking before 21 can be detrimental to a youth's health.

The group's diligence on their mission has not gone unnoticed, earning them the "Knowledge Award," from the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute, a non profit organization, with the goal of providing kids with the realization of their potential leadership skills and empowering them to provide change in their communities.
