BEDMINSTER TWP., NJ — Colonial Christmas at the Jacobus Vanderveer House in Bedminster is planning an exciting all-outdoors event from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. Attendees are invited to show off their festive holiday masks.

In a year when many loved community events have been canceled due to COVID-19, The Friends of the Jacobus Vanderveer House have planned a full slate of activities, sales and holiday celebrations for the 18th annual Colonial Christmas. Each year, Colonial Christmas is held at the restored historic house and grounds at 1 River Road Park in Bedminster, off Route 206 south.

The event is being planned as the “Liberty and Light” for the community this year. The Friends are inviting the public to join in for many of the same festive fellowship and traditions, all to be featured outdoors, just as the early Colonists did during the winter of 1778-79.
