WASHINGTON – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) issued the following statement honoring the victims and families of the September 11 terror attacks:

Today will forever be a solemn day in America.  The anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on our Nation recalls vivid memories and heartbreaking stories. But it also reminds us of tremendous bravery and service to others.  This evening, I will join citizens throughout the country in honoring the innocent people who perished on that terrible day.  We continue to extend our prayers and sympathy to their loved ones as we fondly honor their lives.

“I hope all Americans will pause today and reflect on the tragedy of September 11, to remember the victims and all the loved ones they left behind, honor the brave first responders who met their duties that morning to assist those in need and the service of our men and women in uniform who defend us every day against the dangers we still face. May God continue to bless the United States of America.”
