The Diva For A Day Foundation, Inc., a New Jersey-based non-profit organization that provides women battling cancer with an opportunity to escape from the day-to-day stresses they face, through a day of pampering and spa treatments.

Diva For A Day Foundation, Inc. was co-founded by Debbie Sestokas and Peggy Matzen in 2010, shortly after the two breast cancer survivors met while volunteering for the American Cancer Society and came up with the idea of providing a fabulous spa day for women battling cancer.  Peggy Matzen explains, “when someone is dealing with cancer, it is so all consuming.  We wanted to give these women a little escape from it all; a day to forget about doctor's’ appointments and treatments, a day to feel special.”

Six years later, the New Jersey-based nonprofit has honored over 850 women across the country, all with the help of more than 80 salons/spas, dozens of volunteers and hundreds of generous donations. All divas are nominated through their website by social workers, nurses,  family or friends. Debbie Sestokas says, “the Diva for a Day program brings light into the hearts of those who are chosen and joy to everyone that gives.”
