BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Ridge High School is again holding its Annual Turkey Drive this Saturday. Last year, nearly 35,000 pounds of food and more than 4,300 turkeys were collected thanks to donors, according to information from the school.
The Turkey Drive is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 19. The collection will take place at Ridge High School, 268 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge.
Residents are asked to bring frozen turkeys and unperishable/canned food items to donate.
The donated turkey and other nonperishable foods will assist families and individuals throughout New Jersey in putting a traditional Thanksgiving meal on the table.
"Celebrating the holidays when there are no resources to make them special is hard," says an appeal from the high school organizers of the event. "Together, let’s make sure that everyone has a reason to be grateful this holiday,"
