Jack Ellias, Vice President of Health and Medical Services for Fellowship Senior Living, received LeadingAge New Jersey’s Excellence in Leadership award at a breakfast event on December 6 at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe.
During his 19-year tenure at the Fellowship Village continuing care retirement community in Basking Ridge, Ellias has overseen the Health Center operations which include the Medical Center, Rehab and Wellness Center, and the Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing residential areas.
At the awards ceremony Brian Lawrence, President and CEO of Fellowship Senior Living, cited Ellias’ success in expanding Fellowship Village’s medical and residential support services. Lawrence also noted, “Jack’s strong healthcare team and commitment to providing a high standard of care has resulted in a 5-Star rating in all categories from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for our skilled nursing center. This critical rating places Skilled Nursing at Fellowship Village at the top 2% of nearly 400 nursing homes in the state and underscores Jack’s focus on mission, service, and quality.”
Ellias is also playing an instrumental leadership role as Fellowship Village transitions to a “person directed” model of care in its Health Center. A major construction project currently underway will soon accommodate skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and rehab residents in “households.” Every household of 16 to 20 persons will resemble a real home with both public and private spaces where care is determined by the needs and lifestyle of each resident.
