TROY, NY- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute quarterback Edward Trimpert, a 2015 graduate of Hillsborough High School, is ripping up the opponents' defenses in the Liberty League and has been selected Offensive Performer of the Week by the Liberty League after throwing five TD passes in a Division III win over Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The junior quarterback completed 11 of 17 passes for a career-high 234 yards and five touchdowns - to five different receivers - to earn Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week for the second straight week.

The former Raiders quarterback was not intercepted and finished with three rushing yards. Trimpert gave the Engineers a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter with touchdown passes of 5 and 26 yards, the latter on a fourth-and-three play.
