RIDGEWOOD, NJ - The Ridge girls lacrosse team's season came to a close with a 10-9 loss to Ridgewood in the Section 1, Group 4 championship game on Thursday.
Senior Mena Loescher became Ridge's career record-holder for most career points with 342 points, and career goal scorer with 210 goals. Loescher had one goal and three assists against Ridgewood.
Clair Keller of Ridge (14-4) tied the game with a goal with 47 seconds left, but Ridgewood countered with the decider just 15 seconds later. Keller had two goals.
Emma Wightman led the Red Devils with three goals and also had an assist. Bailey Aaron, Annabelle Pesarchic and Georgia Pesot also scored single goals for Ridge, which outshot Ridgewood, 19-13.
