PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - The Ridge girls soccer team tuned up for its county tournament appearance this weekend with a 2-1 victory over Phillipsburg on Thursday.

Maddie Lui scored the first goal for the Red Devils. Sam Weyrauch's goal, with an assist from Julia Lindsey, gave Ridge (6-3-2) a 2-1 lead.

Ridge, the fourth seed, will host fifth-seeded Somerville in the quarterfinal round of the Somerset County Tournament Saturday at 2 p.m. Ridge and Somerville have not met in the regular season. They played to a 1-1 tie in a scrimmage in August.
