Girls Soccer: Ridge Dominates Livingston, 5-0

BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Ridge girls soccer team defeated Livingston, 5-0, Saturday morning in a rematch of last fall's state Group 4 semifinal, which the Red Devils also won.

Ridge notched a pair of goals in the opening half, with Erin Keefe connecting off a pass from Maddie Lui and Molly Mahoney converting Sam Weyrauch's through ball into a goal.

In the second half, Emma Wightman placed one just above the reach of the Lancers' goalie for a 3-0 lead. Zoey Mitzner, with an assist from Mahoney, and Bailey Aaron added to that lead with goals of their own. Ally Lindsey made five saves for Ridge, which enjoyed a significant advantage in total shots.

Ridge (5-1) will visit undefeated Bridgewater-Raritan (7-0), another team the Red Devils beat in the 2016 state tournament, Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. Livingston is 3-3.
