Billed as the most joyous date on the Jewish calendar, the daylong holiday commemorates the nullification in the year 356 of a Persian decree calling for the extermination and genocide of the Jewish people throughout the Persian Empire as told in the biblical Book of Esther.

"It’s great for teens from Flemington, Clinton and Hunterdon to meet teens from across the state," said Rabbi Shloime Greene Director CTeen of Hunterdon County. "We focus on doing interesting and innovative programs that will maximize the enjoyment for the teens, yet still keeping with the holiday theme."

The party will feature many activities including  a “Megilah” –Book of Esther- reading, delicious hor d'oeuvres, mocktail bar, paparazzi photo booth, Magic by Marco, Improv Theater and more.

CTeen of Hunterdon County is a network of local Jewish teens geared towards providing a platform in which teenagers can learn and experience true leadership - a group run by teens for the teens - and a forum to create community initiatives and do humanitarian work. CTeen has clubs at local high-schools and is actively seeking schools that may be interested in starting their own clubs.
