BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The state title quest continues for the Ridge High School ice hockey team.

The Red Devils defeated River Dell, 3-2, Monday afternoon at Bridgewater Sports Arena in the third round of the NJSIAA Public A state tournament. Alex Konovalov scored with 5:25 left in regulation to break a 2-2 tie and give Ridge (21-6-1) the eventual triumph.

Ridge had to rally from a 2-0 deficit, not getting on the scoreboard for the first time until John Vilade scored the first of his two goals with 4:31 left in the second period. Vilade scored again just less than three minutes later to tie the game, 2-2, heading into the final period.
