BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The state title quest continues for the Ridge High School ice hockey team.
The Red Devils defeated River Dell, 3-2, Monday afternoon at Bridgewater Sports Arena in the third round of the NJSIAA Public A state tournament. Alex Konovalov scored with 5:25 left in regulation to break a 2-2 tie and give Ridge (21-6-1) the eventual triumph.

Spencer Charleson and Matt Fabiunke each had a pair of assists, both of them on Vilade's goals. Konovalov's tiebreaker was unassisted. Ridge outshot River Dell, 18-11.
Ridge will face Randolph at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Codey Arena in the Public A semifinals. Randolph (12-8-5) shut out Sparta, 3-0, on Monday.
