Ice Hockey: Ridge Tops Montgomery, 3-1

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Ridge spotted Montgomery a goal in the first period, then shut its opponent out over the final two periods as it surged to a 3-1 ice hockey victory on Friday night.

Alex Konovalov's goal with 10:13 left in the second quarter for Ridge (11-3-1) tied the game, 1-1. He was assisted by Matt Fabiunke. Jack Mandala finished off a Spencer Charleson feed on a power play with 5:26 left in the second period to give the Red Devils a 2-1 lead.

Luke Rich's goal, with an assist by Dan Knightly, extended the Ridge lead to 3-1 with 10:44 left in the third period. Ridge plays on the road against Glen Rock in Bergen County Sunday at 5:15 p.m.
