SOMERSET, NJ - The Ridge ice hockey team defeated Pingry in the Skyland Cup Tournament championship game on Monday.

After a scoreless first period, Liam Tormey scored a short-handed goal with an assist from Connor Villa with 11:21 left in the second period to give Ridge (15-4-7) a 1-0 lead.

Alex Konovalov scored two goals for the Red Devils, one each in the second and third periods. Luke Rich assisted his first goal with a minute left in the second period, and then Konovalov scored an empty-netter in the final seconds.

Chris Ambrozy finished with 26 saves for Ridge, which beat Pingry for third time this season.
