BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Somerset County Department of Health reported Monday that 4,043 residents have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the county since the pandemic hit locally in March, an increase of 13 cases countywide since Sunday.

Bernards Township had 248 cases, with no new changes since Sunday. There were 62 total cases in Bernardsville and 40 in Bedminster. Neither of those communities had any additional cases on Monday.

The New Jersey Department of Health reported 160,918 cases Monday, an increase of 473 overnight. According to the NJDOH, 2,344 patients were hospitalized as of Sunday evening, a figure that is down 15 percent from just one week ago.
