BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Somerset County Department of Health reported Wednesday that 4,066 residents in the county have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus since the pandemic hit locally in March, an increase of just seven new cases across the county since Tuesday.
One new case was reported in Bernards Township, which had a total of 253 cases. There were no additional cases in Bernardsville, which had 62 cases, or Bedminster, which had 40 cases.
The New Jersey Department of Health reported 162,068 cases Wednesday in the state, an increase of 523 cases since Tuesday. Total coronavirus-related hospitalizations in New Jersey fell by 122 to 2,250, a drop of nearly 20 percent in the last six days.
