BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Seven retiring staff members were recognized and thanked for their years of service by  school officials at the Bernards Township Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 4.

The retiring staffers were remembered by the principals of the buildings in which they worked. Board President Robin McKeon gave each staffer a wrapped gift at the presentation in the Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.

The retirees at the meeting were:

Fern DiMeglio, a special education instructional aide for 17 years, at Cedar Hill School;

Alexis Carola, a paraprofessional and a 47-year resident of the township, from Liberty Corner School;

Christine Sosanie, on the instructional staff (now in special education) at Mount Prospect School;

Terry Vena, a teacher for 29 years, mostly of kindergarten, at Mount Prospect School;

Steve Brush, 35 years in the district teaching math, at Ridge High School;

Ken Cherry, a vocational education teacher and soccer coach who has been at Ridge High since 2002, and

Roseann Troullos, a nurse at Ridge High for 15 years.
