SOMERSET HILLS - Veterans from VFW Post 7858 have been selling fundraising poppies in shopping areas throughout the Somerset Hills as Memorial Day approaches.

Here are some shots of veterans at locations in Bernards Township and Bernardsville, as well as information on the meaning of the poppies -- and how donations end up helping veterans and those serving in the U.S. armed forces.

Supporting US troops on active duty and providing funding for the Veterans Administration facility in Bernards Township are among the causes supported by purchases of poppies.
