BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ - The MidAtlantic Opera will perform Giuseppe Verdi’s classic, Rigoletto, on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. at the Ridge Performing Arts Center. The company, which is the newest professional company, has announced the entire cast for the production and will be performing the full-staged production of the classic which will run for about 2:30.

Metropolitan Opera baritone, Jason Stearns (Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Savolinna Festival and the Lost Angeles Opera) will play the lead as Rigoletto. Tenor Alok Kumar (Cincinnati Opera and Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre) as the Duke of Mantua and soprano Jamilyn Manning-White (N.Y. Gotham Chamber Opera, Heartbeat Opera and the Berkshire Theatre Festival) as Gilda.

The MidAtlantic Opera company is a fairly new professional opera that will be entering its second season of performance. The mission statement of the company is “to inspire audiences and enrich the cultural life of the community by sharing the aesthetic power, and intellectual and emotional engagement of world class opera.”

Tickets to the performance will cost $55 for premium seating and $35 for general admission.
