BASKING RIDGE, NJ- They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, They're all together ooky, The Addams Family. And they are about to be portrayed by a group of Ridge High School dramatists at the Performing Arts Center next weekend, on Friday and Saturday evening.

In this musical comedy, the family of Morticia (Peyton Kennedy) and Gomez Addams (Owen McKenna) reunite when their now grown-up daughter Wednesday (Helen Shen) announces she has fallen in love with someone not so spooky, Lucas Beineke (Chance Friedman), a typical all-American boy.

This musical with a cast and crew of over 100 students, is great for all ages and will be performed by the Ridge High School Drama department at 7 p.m. next Friday and Saturday, Feb.  26 and 27. Performances will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Ridge High School, 268 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge.

Tickets are $12 for students and senior citizens, and $16 for adults. Tickets and can be purchased online at www.ridgepac.com.

Wednesday and Lucas want to get married, but the only trouble standing in the way of the family’s blessing is getting her ghoulish family to act “normal” when Lucas and his parents (Jessica Burchett, Keith Gallimore) come to visit. As the madcap action ensues, Pugsley (Jackie Maese) plots a way to make the lovebirds fall out of love with a magic elixir, however, when the chalice winds up the wrong hands, the whole night begins to unravel!  This musical comedy is hilarious and kooky, but all centered around family, love, and what Wednesday will endure to be with the boy she loves.

Join in the fun with the whole Addams family including Uncle Fester (Sam Prentiss), Lurch (Eric Dannenberg), and even Grandma (Rachael Keough)!

Their house (as erected by the student crew) is a museum: You really should come see 'em. They really are a scream - The Addams Family!
