New Jersey Lottery Winners Attend Trump Inauguration

WASHINGTON - Hundreds of New Jersey residents attended the Presidential Inauguration of Donald J. Trump Friday thanks to a little bit of luck.

Several members of the New Jersey congressional delegation held lottery drawings on their websites through December, with winners notified Jan. 4.

Each winner received two standing room only tickets to view the inauguration on the National Mall, blocks away from the Capitol where Trump was sworn in to office to become the 45th President of the United States.

New Jersey Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7th), whose congressional district includes 54 municipalities in Hunterdon County and portions of Somerset, Union, Morris, Warren and Essex counties, released the following statement on the Presidential Inauguration:

“I congratulate President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on their inauguration.  Today’s celebration was one of American freedom and the peaceful transfer of power.  It is now important for the two elected branches of government to address the challenges confronting the Nation.  I stand ready to work in a bipartisan fashion to address these important issues and I will work to build the common ground to achieve the results the American people expect.”

Lance and other members of the New Jersey Congressional delegation hosted receptions in their offices in the Capitol building and met with their constituents afterwards.
