SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Ridge High softball team came away with a most unusual victory on Monday.

The Red Devils defeated Somerville, 3-1, without the benefit of a single base hit. Despite pitcher Natalie Pinho holding Ridge hitless, the Red Devils pushed across two runs in the fourth inning and another in the sixth. Alexis Soulias drew a leadoff walk in the fourth inning, Kristin Miscia reached on an error, and both moved up on a passed ball before scoring on a fielder's choice and an error.

Sophia Berger allowed a run on five hits in five innings to gain the victory for Ridge (10-11) before Maya Bharatiya saved the game, allowing one hit in two scoreless innings pitched.
