#GetMolly2Ellen Started to Help Young Girl From Basking Ridge

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A viral campaign was started in suport of Molly Perdek, a 15 year old from Basking Ridge, who was born with a condition called hydrocephalus. This means that Molly was born without a shunt that drains fluids from her brain, so she had to have an artificial one put in. Molly had complications in the 6th grade that caused her to have more than 15 surgeries and stints in the hospital since.

Over the last week, a campaign was created to help Molly meet Ellen De Generes. During her time in the hospital, Molly watched her talk show and since has become a big fan. The hashtag, #getmolly2ellen, was created and has since gone viral, making it trend nationwide on Jan. 22.
