BERNARDS TWP., NJ - As in previous years, Bernards Township municipal offices and the Bernards Township Library will close for the federal Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, which falls on Monday, Jan. 15.

But what's new this year is that Bernards Township Schools also will close on Monday to recognize the slain civil rights leader's birthday.

The Bernards Township Board of Education voted early in 2017 to add the 2017-2018 school calendar, reversing the school district's previous policy.
