Power Outages Reduced Sharply in Basking Ridge; Saturday Med Drop is Canceled (Update)

BERNARDS TWP., NJ - The Med Drop event scheduled for Saturday, March 10, has been canceled, according to a post on the Bernards Township Facebook page. 

Medication Drop Off is available at the Police Station Mondays-Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For all other times, please call the Bernards Township Police Department's non-emergency line at 908-766-1122.

Also, by 9 p.m. on Friday, the number of power outages in the township was 1,937 -- down from 2,206 in the afternoon, and 3,113 reported on Thursday.

According to JCP&L, "Crews spent the day focusing on restoring customers impacted from the first storm, road closures, and hazard calls." Those customers impacted by the first storm are expected to be restored by midnight tomorrow," JCP&L told the township. "Customers from the second storm are expected to be restored by midnight on Wednesday."
