BERNARDS TWP., NJ - Area parents and other adults affected by suicides and other losses among local young people in the past year or so are invited on Wedensday, May 17, to hear speaker George Scott discuss "Recovering from Suicide and Other Sudden Losses."
The presentation is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Ridge High School, 268 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge.
Scott, Ed. S, M.F.T, and Statewide Resource Coordinator for the Traumatic Loss Coalitions for Youth, will appear at Ridge to offer the presentation "to bring understanding, hope and healing to our community."
There is no admission fee.
In March, Schools Superintendent Nick Markarian said in an email to parents that Scott had "made himself available to help our school community in light of our most recent loss."
The presentation is for parents only, Markarian said in his email.
