BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Temperatures may have plunged, but the township's active road and infrastructure improvement program for 2019 continues into the last month of the year, with continued work in the Ramapo Drive neighborhood scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6.

Pavement milling operations are due to take place on Friday on Ramapo Drive, Savannah Court, and Allegheny Drive between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.. School bus and resident access will be maintained, but temporary access disruptions may be present. On-street parking is prohibited on these roads.

Crews will also be continuing concrete sidewalk and granite block curb repairs. Driveway access will be restricted for residents of no. 5 Allegheny Drive and no. 10 Raritan Place.

Access to Old Stage Coach Road off of Ramapo Drive will also be restricted. Residents are asked to make alternate parking arrangements. Residents of these homes and those who currently have driveway access restricted are advised to make alternate parking arrangements on Raritan Place, Watchung Drive, or Sentinel Drive. Driveway access will be restricted for two to three days, weather dependent.

Crews will also be completing stormwater infrastructure repairs and EDC sewer manhole repairs on these roads.

Roadway milling is also scheduled to continue on Monday Dec. 9, with paving notice to follow.

Residents are asked to follow all posted signs/detours and please use caution while driving through the construction work areas.
